Privacy Policy

MaxEV ("we", "our", or "us") operates the MaxEV mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains how we handle your information.
Information We Collect
MaxEV does not collect personal information. No account creation is required, and no information that identifies you is ever transmitted from the App.
Analytics
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics to help us understand how the App is used and improve it over time. Analytics data includes:
- App lifecycle events — such as when the app is opened or sent to the background
- Feature usage — such as which games are selected, EV training sessions started or completed, party management actions, stat filters used, and berry corrections applied
- Purchase events — such as when the paywall is shown, a plan is selected, or a purchase is completed or restored
- Settings actions — such as opting in or out of analytics, or clearing app data
All event data uses gameplay identifiers only (such as Pokémon names, game titles, and stat labels). No personal identifiers, names, email addresses, or device identifiers are included.
Data is transmitted to and processed on PostHog's US servers (PostHog Privacy Policy).
You can opt out of analytics at any time inside the App under Settings → Privacy. When opted out, no analytics events are sent.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Subscription and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. For information on how Apple handles your data, please review Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
All data you enter in the App — including party names and EV training progress — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Children's Privacy
MaxEV does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted at maxev.team/privacy.
